Cindy worked in surgical nursing before returning to Penn State to study engineering. She’s held positions in product R&D for a large manufacturer of lighting solutions; in HVAC and electrical systems design for a construction engineering firm; and in the design of innovative energy storage systems for a high tech startup that went public during her tenure. Cindy’s nursing experience was in a 600-bed regional medical center. As an R&D engineer Cindy’s focus was facilities – specifically indoor environments and their correlation to occupant health, productivity and mood.
Cindy’s B.S. degree (with Honors) in Engineering Science and her M.S. degree in Engineering Mechanics were earned at Pennsylvania State University. Cindy’s unique background as a clinical practitioner and then later as a facilities engineer, having a keen understanding of the Joint Commission environment, makes her an exceptional judge of HFM talent, and a trusted advisor to healthcare hiring managers and talent leaders.
Dave worked in the occupational health, safety & environmental field, initially as an analytical chemist in industrial toxicology. Fast promotions led to his leadership of a sizable, highly credentialed commercial analytical laboratory. Dave next became field technical director of an environmental consulting firm, and a few years later was promoted to its President. Departing that industry for a new challenge, Dave transitioned into the software industry where he became a senior recruiter at a prominent retainer-based search firm. There he recruited CXOs for venture-funded SaaS start-ups. When opportunity knocked again, Dave successfully led sales organizations at two transformative software companies whose platforms addressed talent management.
Dave’s B.S. degree was earned at Moravian College. Additionally he attended the M.S. program in Environmental Health at West Chester University. Dave’s serial success in building high performance teams and driving ambitious achievements fueled the growth of seven organizations. His passion for discovering talent and creating win-win outcomes underscores Dave’s relevance as a trusted talent consultant to healthcare execs in search of world class HFM leadership.
Beyond the workplace
We have our separate interests of course, but together Cindy & Dave enjoy collecting hand-stitched Amish quilts and commissioning original watercolor art. We’ve long supported two great charities: Goodwill and Toys for Tots. But our real passion is animal welfare. If you’re able, please support your regional Humane Society or Animal Rescue League. They do great work, typically on scant resources.
